Is the app free?+
Yes. Chanakyaverse is free to download and use, supported by light, family-safe ads. The full 339 verse Chanakya Niti corpus, the Arthashastra books, and all 5 strategic frameworks are free. We will explore an optional paid tier later (audio recitations, AI chat, no ads), but launch is fully free.
What languages are supported?+
Sanskrit (in Devanagari with IAST transliteration), Hindi, and English. Every verse is shown in all three. The interface itself is in English with full Hindi support in development.
How is this different from other Chanakya apps?+
Most apps in this category were built ten or more years ago and look it. Chanakyaverse is built like a quality publishing house edition with warm parchment design, real Sanskrit fonts, and a modern reading paired to every verse. The strategic content from Arthashastra is presented as decision tools, not just reading material.
Where does the text come from?+
The Chanakya Niti Sanskrit comes from the canonical sanskritdocuments.org edition, public domain. The Arthashastra English uses R. Shamasastry's 1915 translation, also public domain. Every verse has an editorial citation in the app.
Does the app track me?+
No third party analytics, no tracking pixels, no selling of data. Your reflections and saved verses are stored on your device by default. If you sign in they sync to your account and nothing else.
When is it launching?+
Beta is open now via the waitlist. Public launch on iOS and Android is targeted for early 2026.
