A sample
आपदर्थे धनं रक्षेद्दारान् रक्षेद्धनैरपि ।
आत्मानं सततं रक्षेद्दारैरपि धनैरपि ॥
“In times of trouble, protect your wealth. With wealth, protect your spouse. But always, by wealth and spouse both, protect your own self.”
In Modern Life
Build reserves before you need them. Emergency fund, network, optionality. Use those reserves to protect what matters most to you. But never sacrifice yourself for either money or relationships, because both can be rebuilt only by a person who is still standing. Self preservation is not selfishness, it is the precondition for everything else.
Who it is for
Strategic frameworks older and deeper than Western business books. Saptanga audits, Mandala mapping, Six diplomatic postures.
Verses to share with children. Family wisdom that has been read aloud at Indian dinner tables for two thousand years.
Practical counsel on decisions, money, ambition, relationships. Career inputs from a tradition that survived empires.
If you have ever wanted to read Chanakya or Kautilya but found existing translations dense or apps ugly, this is your entry.

Most apps in this category were built ten or more years ago and look it. Chanakyaverse is built like a quality publishing house edition with warm parchment design, real Sanskrit fonts, and a modern reading paired to every verse. The strategic content from Arthashastra is presented as decision tools, not just reading material.
The Chanakya Niti Sanskrit comes from the canonical sanskritdocuments.org edition, public domain. The Arthashastra English uses R. Shamasastry's 1915 translation, also public domain. Every verse has an editorial citation in the app.
